Method 3 — Money Order by Mail (USPS Only)

• Make the money order payable to the inmate's full name with the Montana DOC number on the memo line.
• Send via USPS to the specific facility's business office. Processing time: 5–10 business days.

Visitation Rules

• All visitors must present a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival.
• Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an approved adult for the entire visit.
• Inmates are allowed up to 20 people on their approved visitor list.
• A background check fee of $25 may apply for first-time visitors. Children under 18 are typically exempt.
• Up to 6 visitors may be present at one time. Requests for more require advance written approval from the facility.
• All visitors, personal belongings, and vehicles are subject to search at the facility's discretion.
• Dress appropriately — no revealing clothing, no gang-affiliated colors, no clothing resembling inmate uniforms.
• No food, beverages, or electronic devices are permitted in the visiting area.
• Photographs of inmates with their families are permitted on designated holidays during specified time windows.
• The facility's deputy warden or designee may deny or terminate any visit at any time.
• No video or audio recording is permitted during any visit.
